Situation

Maison Dieu Coffee Roasters is an independent roastery based in Brechin, with a well-earned reputation for outstanding speciality coffee. But their branding wasn’t keeping up. A simple black-and-white logo, basic packaging, and a minimalist website meant the quality of what was inside the bag wasn’t coming through on the

They had big ambitions, to grow online coffee sales, build a community around their brand, and establish themselves as a genuine hub for coffee education. They just needed the right creative partner to help them get there.

Task

The Astute Group was engaged to lay the groundwork for growth by creating a cohesive B2B-focused brand identity, developing a professional conversion-driven website, refining content and Linkedin activity to better engage corporate clients, and launching a scalable, measurable marketing campaign.

Actions

Logo  & Packaging Development

We refined Maison Dieu’s logo font with subtle but impactful colour, then reimagined their packaging from the ground up. Each bag now reflects the geographical origins of the coffee inside, telling its story through vibrant colour and local symbolism. The result is packaging that doesn’t just protect the product, it sells it.

Signage & Physical Presence

When Maison Dieu opened their second location in Broughty Ferry, Dundee we designed and installed a full suite of modern, high-impact exterior and interior signage. The new branding translated seamlessly into the physical space, giving both locations a consistent, elevated presence on the high street.

Website Transformation

We took Maison Dieu’s website from a basic product catalogue and turned it into something far more ambitious, a full coffee education platform. Customers can now explore brewing techniques, learn about bean origins, read engaging blog content, and stay up to date with events and new releases. It’s a destination, not just a shop.

Results

Maison Dieu now has a brand that does justice to their coffee. The new identity is visually compelling, commercially sharp, and deeply connected to the story behind every roast.

Online sales have improved off the back of a more streamlined purchasing experience, the Broughty Ferry location opened with real presence, and the website has grown into an interactive space that cements Maison Dieu’s place as a leader in the Scottish speciality coffee scene.
